Vintage Royalux hurricane lantern, a French storm lantern in complete, working condition.
Notable for its glass-lift mechanism: pushing the side lever down lifts the globe. This system is rarely seen and adds mechanical interest. The cage design is also unusual, not commonly found on other lanterns.
The top cap is marked: "Royalux – Bté S.G.D.G. – Made in France".
Shows light signs of age, as expected for an older lantern. Suitable for a collection, or for practical use indoors, in the garden, or while traveling.
