Beautiful vintage miner’s lamp by Hubert Joris in fantastic condition, fitted with original Val Saint Lambert glass and remaining in very good, working condition.
This lamp carries no serial number, suggesting it may have been a presentation piece, commemorative gift, or awarded to personnel for special occasions. Because of this, the exact production date is difficult to determine, though it is most likely from the 1950s–1960s.
The lamp remains functional, with the wick holder operating correctly. According to collectors, this is believed to be a Meesterhouwerslamp (Master Miner’s Lamp) produced by Hubert Joris / Joris Lampe in Belgium, closely related in style and construction to the famous Wolf mining lamps.
Extremely atmospheric when used as a small oil lamp, but equally impressive as a decorative industrial piece in any interior. It also makes a highly unusual and desirable addition to a mining or lantern collection.
