This hurricane lantern by VEB Sturmlaternewerk, model 159, most likely dates from 1966 to 1968 and was made in Germany.
The fount is marked BAT No. 159 Made in Germany. This version was only produced for a short period; notably, the same wording, BAT Made in Germany, also appears on the cap at the top of the lantern.
The globe is red and has a crack; see the photos for how this looks.
Condition is good, and the lantern is in working order.
