The ASA 682 Automatic is a German hurricane lantern by Aenne Sartorius, expected to date from between 1945 and 1960. The fount is marked Asa No 682 Made in Germany.

The globe lift is what sets this lantern apart: folding the handle away swings the globe out at an angle. A unique system. At more or less the same time, SIF patented a comparable idea for the Royalux, which builds the globe lift into the handle in a different way.

It burns kerosene and the globe is unmarked. Condition is good and the lantern is in working order.
