Vintage hand lantern with a front glass window and a small red rear light.
It has a single bracket on top; its original purpose is unclear, especially given the red plastic piece at the back, which resembles the type seen on bicycle lamps — though this isn't a bicycle lamp.
Working condition, including the candle. The candle holder is slightly bent but still holds the candle securely.
Exact age is hard to determine, likely 1930s–1950s.
