This extraordinary French storm lamp is a rare Frankenstein lantern, a unique combination of parts from two iconic models:
- Valentini “La Bon-Jour” (upper section and tubes) – produced between 1911 and 1940, likely from 1930–1940
-
Laurent Dresco “L’Indispensable” (fuel tank) – estimated from the 1920s
The wick cap is probably from SIF, adding to its distinctive character.
Collectors call these assembled lamps Frankenstein lanterns, making this piece a true conversation starter and a rare find for enthusiasts.
