Antique mining lamp by J.H. Naylor Ltd, Wigan, with a rare chrome finish, unusual for miners' safety lamps. Also features a locking mechanism and an additional threaded fitting on the side, whose purpose is unknown.

The original plate reads:
"J.H. Naylor Ltd – Wigan
Manufacturers of Miners' Safety Lamps, Gun Metal, Boiler Mountings & Valves"
