Rare Vintage Feuerhand 276 ATOM Hurricane Lantern with Red Glass – Early Germany Oil Lantern (1950–1952)
Rare vintage Feuerhand 276 ATOM storm lantern in complete and working condition. This is one of the earliest 276 models produced by Nier in Hohenlockstedt after relocating from Beierfeld, allowing this lantern to be dated to approximately 1950–1952.
This highly collectible early example is marked “ATOM Special” instead of the later “Baby Special” branding and features the “Germany” stamp rather than “W. Germany.” Another characteristic detail of these early production models is the absence of ventilation holes in the chimney tube above the globe.
The lantern comes fitted with a red unmarked glass globe showing some matte wear marks consistent with age and use.
Presented in authentic vintage condition with visible signs of age and wear, adding to its historical charm and industrial character. Please note that the top hood and chimney section have damage, so carefully review the photographs for the overall condition.
An excellent addition to any antique lantern or Feuerhand collection, while also remaining perfectly usable as atmospheric lighting for the home, garden, camping, or holiday use.
