Rare Stübgen & Co Bat 2850 German Hurricane Lantern – Circa 1925
This exceptional Stübgen & Co Bat 2850 hurricane lamp is a true collector’s item, produced in Germany between 1910 and 1947. This particular piece dates from around 1925–1927 and is in very good working condition.
The lamp features its original marked glass, embossed with a bat logo and the text Made in Thuringia, DR Patent. Although the glass has a small chip on one corner, it remains intact and functional. The lamp shows light signs of age, including a few rusted holes in the side air tubes, mostly hidden by the protective cage. These details only add to its authentic vintage character.
This storm lantern is not only a beautiful historical piece but also fully usable for lighting in your home, garden, or even on camping trips. It comes with a new wick and should only be used with pure kerosene. Please note: it has not been treated against rust, so for prolonged outdoor use, additional protection is recommended.
