Rare Old and Vintage Hand Lantern, Oil Hand Lamp with Faceted Glass by the Well-Known Maker Kästner & Töbelmann. In Working Order.
This hand lantern with faceted glass was made by Kästner & Töbelmann.
The logo is very special: normally this would be a Flügelrad (winged wheel), but this one bears Sturmtrotz and the shield logo, which is also known from their hurricane lanterns.
It also has a very beautiful reflector.
In working order, as can be seen. The brass wick holder is very handsome. A slightly narrower wick than the correct size has been fitted, because otherwise it burns too high too quickly.
The only thing is that the little door sometimes slides back and forth a little stiffly, because the two edges in front of the glass run slightly too tightly along it.
Naturally it shows light signs of the passage of time, but that also gives the lamp character.
A lovely addition to a collection.
Height excluding handle: 16 cm
Date of production: probably 1910s/1920s
Fitted with a new wick and used with pure paraffin.
