The Mewa BAT 259 hurricane lantern, also known as the Freundschaft lantern. Despite some online stories suggesting it was given as a friendship gift, this model was actually produced for export to Africa and Afghanistan during the 1970s and 1980s.

New Old Stock, never used, though it shows light signs of age.

Suitable for a collection, or for lighting at home, in the garden, or camping.
