Rare French hurricane lantern, known as La Lumineuse ("The Bright One"), produced by SIF (Société Industrielle de Ferblanterie) during the 1920s–1930s. After 1930, SIF acquired Val d'Or and continued production under its own name.

This lantern isn't marked "La Lumineuse", but matches the design of confirmed examples. Distinctive features include:

Reinforced connection between the tank and air tube, a design detail occasionally seen on ALG models too
Brass tank cap
Uneven glass with tiny bubbles
Chimney cover marked "Breveté S.G.D.G."
Wick holder with a star emblem
Glass-lift eye slightly misshapen but functional

Good, usable condition, with natural signs of age.
