A Fratelli Cigada 1100 hurricane lantern of Italian manufacture, thought to date from the 1950s. The fount is embossed Fabricazione Italiana MFC No *1100*.

The 1100 is an Italian copy of the Feuerhand 175. Lanterns by this maker are not ones you come across often.

It is fitted with a German Jenaer glass globe.

Condition is excellent and the lantern is in working order. The top has discoloured slightly blue from the heat.
