Rare Feuerhand 175 STK Oelab Sturmkappe Hurricane Lantern – West Germany Farm Wagon Lantern with Red Glass

Rare vintage Feuerhand 175 STK Oelab Sturmkappe hurricane lantern from West Germany, fitted with red glass and originally used as a wagon safety lantern, often seen on agricultural vehicles.

This special version is equipped with the Oelab system, including the matching burner and fuel cap. The Oelab design uses a small rubber seal beneath the wick holder to help prevent kerosene/paraffin from leaking when the lantern is exposed to heavy movement or vibration.

The Feuerhand 175 STK is a much less common model. The larger 276 STK and the 176 STK versions are encountered more frequently, while this compact 175 STK variant is considerably harder to find.

Naturally, the lantern shows light signs of age and use, adding to its authentic vintage character and charm.

A wonderful addition to any Feuerhand or agricultural lantern collection, while also remaining perfectly suitable as atmospheric lighting for the home, garden, camping, or holiday use.

The tank previously had a leak and has therefore been repaired with tank sealer. Some light traces of this repair are visible on the side of the tank.
