Rare Early Feuerhand Yellow Road Worker Lantern with Curved Lens
A very rare early Feuerhand road worker lantern, designed for use with a tealight or small candle. These lanterns were originally used as safety lighting during roadworks and this example remains in a nicely aged yet fully functional condition.
This is a scarce variant. While they are commonly found with rectangular lenses, it is unusual to come across one with a curved lens like this example. It also lacks the typical snap closure and instead features only a locking mechanism. The lenses are made of red plastic.
Naturally, it shows clear signs of age and use, including rust, which adds to its authentic character. A wonderful addition to any collection, while still perfectly suitable as atmospheric lighting for use at home, in the garden, or on holiday.
