Antique hand lantern / candle lantern, complete and in working condition, likely dating from the early 1900s.
A solid, distinctive model with both a fixed top handle and a foldable rear handle — a practical and unusual combination. It also has a hanging loop at the top and an additional bracket at the back.
What sets it apart is the semi-circular faceted glass. Most lanterns of this type have flat glass panels that slide into grooves, but this one has a curved, faceted lens, an uncommon detail. The roof design is also more refined than usual.
Includes original candle holder.
Shows light signs of age and use. Suitable for a collection, or as an atmospheric lighting piece.
