Rare Antique Astra Soleil Oil Lamp – French Art Deco Table Lamp circa 1920s

Special antique Astra Soleil oil lamp / table lamp, produced in France during the 1920s and presented in complete and working condition.

What makes this lamp particularly unique is its distinctive design and unusual glass construction, unlike almost any other oil lamp from the same period. Contemporary advertising brochures described it as an oil lamp with “unbreakable” glass — likely intended as a response to the popular Pigeon lamps, which used a much more fragile upper glass section.

The lamp still retains its beautiful original character. The nickel finish shows wear in some areas from age and use, but the lamp remains complete, functional, and highly decorative.

There is a very small crack in the upper glass section.

A fantastic and rare decorative piece for collectors of antique lighting, French industrial design, or Art Deco interiors.
