Fantastic 1930s French ALG Marine hurricane lantern in beautiful working condition and exceptionally well preserved for its age.

This is an early ALG Marine model from the 1930s, recognizable by the distinctive clamps on the air tubes near the chimney section — a characteristic detail of these earlier versions.

The lantern has an impressive size and a classic French industrial appearance.

The fuel cap has become slightly oval over time, making it a little harder to screw on. If desired, it can also be exchanged with the cap on top of the chimney, as both have the same size thread. The upper opening was originally designed to allow cleaning of the air tubes.

Naturally, the lantern shows some light signs of age and use, adding to its authentic vintage character and charm.

A wonderful addition to any antique lantern, maritime, or industrial collection, while also remaining perfectly suitable as atmospheric lighting for the home, garden, camping, or holiday use.
