Hurricane lantern – Feuerhand 276 STK Sturmkappe – in good usable condition, with original glass and green painted finish.

The Sturmkappe was an innovation designed to give the flame extra protection against wind. The lantern is therefore marked “garantiert sturmsicher” (guaranteed stormproof). These lanterns are still perfectly functional and very suitable for regular use.

Naturally, it shows signs of age, but this patina gives the lantern character. The lamp was repainted by a previous owner; the paint still looks good, so it has been left intentionally.
A great addition to any collection, but also excellent for practical lighting in the home, garden, or on holiday.

This is the Feuerhand Baby 276 Sturmkappe, produced in Western Germany.
This particular example dates from the 1960s.
