Feuerhand 423 Hurricane Lantern (1928–1939) – Rare Lever‑Lift Model with Extremely Rare Red Globe
Rare Feuerhand 423 hurricane lantern, featuring an extremely rare red globe, and in good working condition overall. This model was produced between 1928 and 1939.
The lantern is in very good vintage condition. At some point it was converted to electric use; the electrical parts have been removed, but two holes in the air tube remain (visible in the photos).
The Feuerhand 423 exists in several variations; this is the uncommon version with a lever‑lift mechanism for raising the globe. This type of lift is more frequently seen on Frowo lanterns and is unusual for Feuerhand, making this example especially desirable.
Finding a Feuerhand 423 with lever‑lift is already difficult—finding one with a red globe is exceptionally rare.
Shows light age‑related wear, giving it genuine character. A wonderful addition to any collection, but also perfectly suitable as atmospheric lighting at home, in the garden, or on holiday.
