Feuerhand 175 Super Baby "Superflam" Hurricane Lantern – W. Germany, c. 1950–1955 – Working, Etched Superflam Globe

A Feuerhand 175 Super Baby hurricane lantern in the Superflam version, which was made for export to France. The fount is embossed Superflam *175* W.Germany Super Baby. It most likely dates from 1950–1955, recognisable by the small holes in the chimney.

The globe is what sets this one apart: an unusual etched globe reading Superflam No 175. It is not the original Feuerhand globe, but presumably of French manufacture — several of these globes have turned up over the years.

The lantern retains its original burner and has been fitted with a new wick. It has only been used with kerosene and is in working order.

Condition is very good.
