Decorative oil lamp from L & B Lempereur Bernard, a Belgian manufacturer, made entirely of brass, with a matching brass shade. Marked in multiple places, similar to the well-known Miller oil lamps, and sharing several design features with them.

The burner resembles the Matador style, producing a large, rounded flame. The construction is notable: the base is open and runs through the reservoir up to the burner, allowing extra oxygen supply, which improves combustion and light output.

Note: the shade holder may not be entirely original. A chimney fits, but removing it can be tricky due to a previously repaired leg. The holder is slightly wobbly but can be straightened.
