Elegant Antique Oil Lamp with BJB Wick Holder – Brökelmann, Jaeger & Busse, c. 1910–1920

Fantastic and elegant antique oil lamp, beautifully shaped and in working condition, fitted with a wick holder attributed to Brökelmann, Jaeger & Busse.

This oil lamp has a very refined and elegant appearance. The legs are finely shaped and gracefully hold the reservoir, which is green in color. The paint is applied to the lower part of the reservoir, above which a decorative border adds an extra ornamental touch. With its harmonious proportions and classic design, this lamp will be a real eye‑catcher in any interior.

The lamp is not only highly attractive as a collectible antique piece, but it also remains perfectly suitable for use as atmospheric lighting.

The wick holder is attributed to BJB, Brökelmann, Jaeger & Busse, a renowned German manufacturer known for the quality of their burners and oil lamp components.

The total height including the glass chimney is approximately 47 cm, while the height excluding the glass is about 24 cm. The lamp is believed to date from the 1910s to 1920s. It stands very slightly tilted, a minor issue that can easily be corrected by adjusting the glass chimney.
