Chalwyn Tornado Hurricane Lantern – Made in England – 1960s/70s

Beautiful and impressive Chalwyn Tornado hurricane lantern in very nice vintage condition, dating from the 1960s/70s, complete with its original marked glass in fantastic condition.

This is a notably large hurricane lantern with an oversized fuel tank, allowing for an exceptionally long burn time. It is also fitted with a very wide wick, providing an excellent light output.

The front is prominently marked Tornado, while the back is stamped:
Chalwyn – Made in England

The logo on the glass is especially attractive and adds extra character to the lamp.

Naturally, the lantern shows some signs of age and use, which only enhance its authentic vintage appearance.

A wonderful addition to a collection, but also still perfectly usable as atmospheric lighting for the home, garden, camping, or holidays.

Please note: the opening for the handle has slight damage on one side, which can allow the handle to slip out. However, it can easily be placed back into position.
