The zinc body is in good condition, with copper rivets and a brass plate. Includes the original oil reservoir and is in working order. Likely manufactured by the Dutch maker Ph. Zock, Dordrecht.

Anchor lights were traditionally hung in the rigging when a ship lay at anchor in open water at night.
