Antique Master Miner’s Lamp with Val Saint Lambert D.S.4 Glass – Oil Mining Lamp circa 1900

Beautiful antique miner’s lamp dating from approximately 1900–1910, presented in fantastic condition and fitted with original Val Saint Lambert D.S.4 glass.

This example appears to have seen very little use and remains in working condition. The wick holder moves upward using the small adjustment mechanism underneath the lamp.

There are two small holes in the top section where the identification plate would originally have been mounted.

According to collectors, this type of lamp is believed to be a Master Miner’s Lamp (Meesterhouwerslamp), a higher-quality style of mining lamp with a beautiful and robust construction.

The lamp creates a wonderful atmosphere when used as a small oil lamp, but is equally impressive as a decorative industrial piece in any interior.

The lamp itself has no visible brand name or maker’s mark.
