Feuerhand 276 STK/70 "Baby Special" Hurricane Lantern – West Germany – Sturmkappe, Original Marked Globe
A Feuerhand 276 STK/70 hurricane lantern, made in West Germany. The fount is embossed *276* W. Germany Baby Special and carries the stamp "3 4", pointing to the third or fourth month of 1974 or 1984.
STK stands for Sturmkappe, the storm cap fitted to this version, while 70 refers to a burn time of around 70 hours. Storm lanterns of this type were often used at construction sites and road works. It comes complete with the original wick holder, the feeder wick and the original marked globe.
The lantern is in good condition, showing some small dents and traces of use — fitting for a lamp that once earned its keep outdoors.
