One of the small side doors can be secured with a sliding latch, and the glass can also be locked into place. The lantern originally had a top handle; two side handles are still present. The back is marked with the manufacturer's name and \"Weltlaterne\".\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs with other trench lanterns, the oil reservoir can be removed, revealing a clamp beneath it for holding a candle. The small cap stored in the left clasp seals the oil tank when switching to candle mode.
