By lowering the side lever, the glass moves smoothly upward, an elegant and uncommon technical feature. Another rare detail is the protective wire cage, a design element that is not often seen on lanterns of this type.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe top of the lantern is clearly stamped with “Royalux – Bté S.G.D.G. – Made in France.” Royalux was a brand of the well‑known French manufacturer SIF, La Société Industrielle de Ferblanterie.
