Riemann's Favorit Chemnitz Gablenz, and the model is the Favorit No. 270B, most likely from the period 1900–1920.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRiemann was entered in the commercial register as a metalware factory in 1892 and produced lanterns and fittings for bicycles, motorcycles and motor cars, from works on Dietzelstraße in Gablenz. The Favorit No. 270 range appears in Riemann's 1911 catalogue in several versions, the 270B among them.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe bicycle bracket carries the distinctive oak leaf, which returns on the underside of the lamp alongside the mark DRGM: Deutsches Reichs-Gebrauchsmuster, the German registered-design mark used between 1891 and 1945. Riemann registered the trade name Eichblatt-Laterne in 1914.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe lamp is nickel and carries a bullseye lens, which is undamaged.
