It most likely dates from between 1900 and 1930.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTwo details give it character. There is a small slide that lets you shut the lantern \"off\". The upper part of the handle also swivels; what that was meant for I do not fully understand, as it turns the light to the side or to the rear without you having to turn your hand. Whether the small lever is original I cannot say — it does stay up as it should.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe window glass was missing and has been replaced.
